Lobby Hours

The Thermopolis Police Department lobby is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. After hours you can access the dispatch department through the glass doors just to the left of the main lobby door. The dispatch area is accessible 24 hours per day. To speak with a dispatcher, please use the phone in the lobby.

The Thermopolis Police Department is a professional agency serving the approximately 3,000 residents of Thermopolis. The department is comprised of six professional, sworn officers and six civilian employees.

The Thermopolis Police Department is a community oriented department committed to providing the best possible service to our community. Ideas and feedback are always welcome from our community in an effort to determine how best to serve the law enforcement needs of our residents.

Animal control

The Thermopolis Police Department is currently handling animal control issues. You can contact them through the Thermopolis Police Department main line – 307-864-3114. The department strives to enforce statutes relative to animals in a humane and compassionate manner. The Town of Thermopolis contracts with Bill Williams, DVM at Hot Springs Veterinary Clinic for boarding services. Hot Springs Veterinary Clinic is located at 827 South Sixth Street in Thermopolis.
